The Government of Republic of Srpska adopted today during
the 13th special session in Banja Luka the Decision on the minimum wage in
Republic of Srpska for 2025.
The minimum wage in Republic of Srpska shall be BAM 1,344.26
gross or 900.00 in net amount.
The minimum wage for jobs requiring at least three
years of secondary education is set to be BAM 1,426.23 in gross amount or
950.00 in net amount.
The minimum wage for jobs requiring at least four
years of secondary education is set at gross amount of BAM 1,508.20 or a net
amount of 1,000.00.
The minimum wage for jobs requiring higher level of education
is set to be 2,000.00 in gross amount or 1,300.00 in net amount.
The decision shall enter into force on the day
following its publication in the "Official Gazette of the Republic of Srpska"
and shall apply to calculation of wages as of January 1, 2025.
The Government of Republic of Srpska made this decision
given that the Economic and Social Council has not determined the draft
Decision on the Minimum Wage in the Republic for 2025, and taking into account
the movement of wages, the growth of production and the standard of living in
the Republic and acknowledging the fact that the amounts of the minimum wage
must differ in relation to the degree of complexity of the jobs for the
performance of which an appropriate level of education is required.
In previous years, the minimum wage in the Republic of
Srpska was determined in single amount while this year, in addition to the
single amount of the minimum wage in the Republic, three additional amounts of
the minimum wage are determined depending on the complexity of the jobs for
the performance of which an appropriate level of education is required.
