‘In previous months, there was a reshuffling of the Government during which two ministers have been changed and I would like to say that there
will be five more new names in the Government that will be elected tomorrow.
This means that almost half of the Government has changed’, stated future Prime Minister Savo Minić at a press
conference held today in Banja Luka.
The new Ministers are: Draga Mastilović (Ministry of
Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education), Radenko Bubić
(Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship), Radan Ostojić (Ministry of Labor
and Veterans' and Disabled People's Protection), Ned Puhovac
(Ministry of Trade and Tourism) and Irena Ignjatović (Ministry of Family, Youth
and Sports).
“Tomorrow we will present in details their biographies
and the reasons why they were proposed. After the Government is formed, all
ministries will prepare a work plan for the first 100 days, as was the case
before. This is the highest level of transparency we can offer. I would like to
thank all ministers who will not be part of the new Government for their fair
and professional cooperation”, Minić said.
He stressed that this was, at the moment, the best way
to preserve the institutions of Republic of Srpska and further strengthen the work of the
Government.
"From last Thursday, when we entered this
process, until Monday, we will have a new Government of continuity, without any
disruption in work. I believe that in a very short period of time we have
managed to implement significant changes without turbulence and with a unified
position within the ruling coalition," said Minić.
Minić said that election of the new Government,
with five new names, represented the continuity of work and improvement of all
segments of the Government's activities, given that many infrastructure
projects are planned for this year.
"What I want to emphasize is continuity, or
better to say the mandate that this political structure received in 2022. All
activities that were carried out during that mandate were aimed exclusively at developing
and improving all relevant parameters for Republic of Srpska. This is very important
activity and political process that, perhaps unusual, but at the same time
demonstrates political strength, stability and determination. It is difficult
to find a single country in the region with a stable parliamentary majority
that without a standstill in the work of the executive branch, managed to carry
out the reconstruction of the Government twice in such a short period of time,
without any problems", the Prime Minister underlined.
He added that it was intended to bring additional
energy and strengthen activities in those segments that he believed needed to
be intensified in the coming years.
"I believe that this is an extremely
well-designed and timely political process in which we bring responsibility and
control activities. All of this is exclusively in the interest of Republic of Srpska and continued work and additional
strengthening of the Government’s work", Prime Minister Minić concluded.
