Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Višković met today with the Mayor of Rogatica Ninoslav Prelić and municipal leadership of Rogatica. After the meeting Prime Minister stated that the Government of Republic of Srpska would support the plans for starting a potato processing factory in Rogatica as the incentive of development in this region.
Prime Minister specified that the Government would support construction of a potato processing factory and provide BAM 500,000 for the first phase so that the plant could produce semi-finished products whereas the goal is to produce final products, frozen potatoes, which would permanently solve the problem
of market surpluses and open up new prospects for economic development of this
region.
At the same time, Prime Minister Višković announced
that the Government would support other development and infrastructure projects
in Rogatica area, including plans to continue construction of a sports hall and a water treatment plant.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister said that the Government would help build a
memorial to the fallen soldiers and civilians from the Rogatica municipality who made an immeasurable contribution to the founding of the Republic of Srpska.
The interlocutors also spoke about building a city
market and establishing a court in Rogatica. In addition, Prime Minister Višković supported the
plans of the municipal administration regarding certain tourism
projects in the area including construction of a
tourist resort on the Borik plateau.
The Mayor of Rogatica, Ninoslav Prelić briefed Prime
Minister Višković about the projects that the local government was planning to realize and thanked the Government of Republic of Srpska for all its assistance.
