Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Savo Minić
expressed his dissatisfaction with the fact that none of the competent
officials from the Government of the other entity or the Council of Ministers
of BiH showed up at the meeting with representatives of the transport sector at
the border crossing in Gradiška, and that it was obvious that there was no will
to solve this problem.
“I cannot understand how somebody could not at least
inform that they would not come or state that the place or the date of the
meeting does not suit them. They could have sent someone. All this is very bad", Minić said in Gradiška where a joint meeting with
representatives of the transport association "Logistika BiH" was to
be held.
"As agreed, we, from the Government of Republic of Srpska came to the meeting. My colleagues from the FBiH and the Council of
Ministers were also invited. It is obvious that there is no good will to solve
this problem honestly and show respect for the transport companies and the
problems they have", Prime Minister Minić emphasized.
"We do not have a single argument to say that a joint
level of contact with Croatia has been included here and to ask why our drivers are being returned. And the consequence of all this will be
that the transporters will undergo some kind of radicalization", the Prime Minister said and added that the Government of Republic of Srpska
would continue talks with them and that the previous
agreement regarding the coordination of the work of
customs authorities with inspection services will be respected.
The Prime Minister reiterated that, no matter what, he
will not allow the border to be blocked.
"If necessary, we will go anywhere with them. I
have no problem going to Sarajevo, Mostar or Brussels. Our economy is at a
standstill as well as the whole system. We shall not create a conflict with
the transport companies, because these people work here all the time", Minić said.
