Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan
Višković resigned from office today. Prime Minister Višković stated and his resignation was in agreement with the
President of the Republic Milorad Dodik and the Speaker of the National
Assembly Nenad Stevandić and that that
a new government will be elected.
He thanked the leadership of Republic of Srpska for the
trust they have shown him over the years and said: "This is the day I have been waiting for since I
was appointed Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska. This is also my
contribution to broadening the consensus in Republic of Srpska," Višković
said at a press conference.
He added that he was proud of his work as Prime
Minister to date and that the Government of Republic of Srpska under his
leadership since December 2018 achieved impressive results in all economic
indicators emphasizing that during that period the Government GDP grew over 60 percent since 2018 to date.
"We managed to get through the coronavirus
pandemic fairly well and to overcome
economic crises", Višković said.
"Salaries, pensions, employment have increased.
Exports and imports have increased. In the first seven months of this year,
exports have grown significantly more than imports," Višković emphasized.
He stated that he was proud of Republic of Srpska and
everything that has been done from 2018 to date.
"We are getting stronger and more stable. I am
leaving Republic of Srpska Srpska economically and financially stable to my successor. I wish success to the new Government. I will be happy if the new Government
surpasses the results of the Government I led", Višković said and added that Srpska is a good place to live and that he would continue to perform responsible positions in Republic of Srpska.
