Prime Minister Savo Minić lays wreaths at memorials on the occasion of the Day of the Republic and the Fighters' Day

On the occasion of celebrating the Day of the Republic and the Day of the Fighters of the Republic of Srpska, Prime Minister Savo Minić together with the highest officials of the Republic laid wreaths at the Monument to the Fallen Soldiers of the Army of the Republic of Srpska at Sveti Pantelija Cemetery and at the monument to the fallen fighters of the People' Liberating Movement of WW II in Banja Luka today. 

"Today we respectfully remember the fighters who gave their lives for the Republic of Srpska and speak of all those who built it. Established in peace, we will preserve and strengthen the Republic of Srpska in peace for future generations", Prime Minister Minić said and added that the opportunity was created for the Serbian people, but also for other peoples living in the Republic of Srpska, to build their future together in peace.

'That we should not fight against anyone, but that we should have the opportunity to defend ourselves. The Republic of Srpska was established in peace and will be preserved in peace', Minić emphasized.

He expressed satisfaction with the fact that the Republic of Srpska has the support of Serbia in marking this significant date and that Serbian officials will attend the celebration of January 9.

'Serbia and the Republic of Srpska breathe with one soul and one body, we are proud of that and no one can forbid us from doing so, especially to remember all those who helped the survival of the Serbian people in this region', the Prime Minister emphasized. 

As part of the events marking this significant date, the delegation of the Government of Republic of Srpska laid wreaths at the Memorial Place and the Memorial Monument of "12 Babies" in Banja Luka today.
