Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Savo Minić
visited the Center of Excellence in Agriculture in Obudovac where he met with representatives of the Center and spoke about creating the measures
to support the farmers in the coming year, The Prime Minister announced that additional 1.5 million BAM will be allocated to support pig farming.
"According to our calculations, we will reach
over 400 households, precisely those who will stay and work in Republic of Srpska. We want the project
"Village in Republic of Srpska - My Place to Live" to be implemented at
full capacity so that various needs, not only economic, but also cultural are met and as the reults that our people stay and live in Republic of Srpska", Prime
Minister Minić said.
The Head of the Center of Excellence, Petar Nikolić,
said that it was great honor to host the Prime Minister of Republic of Srpska and that it was agreed during the meeting to continue cooperation on the
program "Village of Republika Srpska - My Place to Live", as well as
on comprehensive support for young people in rural areas who are the
bearers of demographic revival of villages and the generational renewal of
agriculture.
"We have agreed on new measures that will help
young people who have not had the opportunity to enter agricultural production
and want to become producers. Our goal is to promote cooperatives. We also
discussed the possibility of activating young people in the villages to take
responsibility and form living communities, to work on
social cohesion and target groups, so that the rural environment becomes more
attractive place to live", Nikolić said.
After the meeting at the Center, Prime Minister Minić
visited the household of Vojislav Pejić, a father of four children, who is a
beneficiary of incentives provided by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water
Management of the Republc of Srpska.
“I personally know these hardworking people and I am
glad that last year, through the project agreed upon by Presidents Dodik and
Lukashenko, they managed to purchase a tractor, which is vital for this family that
is engaged in agricultural production”, Prime Minister Minić said.
The Prime Minister also stated that thanks to subsidies, a lot of agricultural machinery and equipment was
purchased in previous years and announced that in the future, the scoring will be done during the purchase, and that one of the elements that
will influence the number of points awarded will be the number of household members.
