Prime Minister of the
Republic of Srpska Savo Minić met today in Banja Luka with the Ambassador of
Hungary to Bosnia and Herzegovina Krisztián Pósa.
The meeting focused on further
strengthening of cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and Hungary with special
emphasis on support to agriculture, development of economic activities and educational
field.
The interlocutors agreed
that the program of the Foundation for Sustainable Development „Progresus" supported by the
Government of Hungary which enables agricultural producers in the Republic of
Srpska to purchase new machinery and equipment at more favorable price, was very
important. It has been stressed that the
third cycle of the program was underway and that it led to great interest among
farmers and represented an important form of support for development of
domestic agriculture.
One of the topics was cooperation
in the field of higher education and scholarship programs between universities.
It has been noted that the interest of students from the Republic of Srpska to
study at universities in Hungary was significant and would improve cooperation among
educational institutions and help exchange of knowledge .
The interlocutors noted
that relations between the Republic of Srpska and Hungary were at high level
and expressed determination to continue and to further improve amicable
relations and cooperation also in the future.
