There is space for expansion of cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and Greece in many areas, has been concluded during the meeting between the
Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Savo Minić and the Ambassador of
Greece to BiH, Ms. Ioanna Efthymiadou held on 2 March 2026 in Banja Luka.
The interlocutors noted that the Republic of Srpska and
Greece have always maintained good relations and that opportunities existed for strengthening the ties primarily in the field of economy. In this regard Prime Minister
Minić emphasized that the Government of the Republic of Srpska was interested in engaging in talks on joint projects.
The Prime Minister thanked the Greek Ambassador to BiH for all the
help and support that Greece provided throughout history and said that for the Republic of Srpska, Greece was an amicable country.
Ambassador Eftimiadou thanked for the cordial reception and
stressed Greece's readiness to enhance the existing cooperation. The Greek Ambassador particularly
expressed her satisfaction with the work of the Center for Hellenic Studies at
the Faculty of Philosophy in Banja Luka, where the Greek language will be
taught, which is important for strengthening cultural ties between the two
peoples.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Minić and Ambassador Efthymiadou also spoke about the political situation in
Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
