Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Savo Minić paid an official visit to Zvornik, where he and the Minister of Transport and Communications Zoran Stevanović met with the Mayor Bojan Ivanović and the local leadership.

Prime Minister Minić stressed that Zvornik wss an exceptionally good example of cooperation of the Government with local communities, and that the Government would continue to continuously provide support for implementation of projects of strategic importance for this local community.

He stressed that it was important that construction of the buildings for the court, prosecutor's office and attorney's office, for which funds have been provided, return institutions to Zvornik and that this city again becomes the administrative center of the region.

Prime Minister Minić said that during the meeting other projects important for the city that will be supported by the Government of Republika Srpska were discussed, including projects in the field of construction and modernization of road and traffic infrastructure, landslide rehabilitation, flood protection, and reconstruction and construction of school buildings and kindergartens.

He particularly emphasized that there was a significant tourist potential in Zvornik that needs to be developed, which is a mine from the Roman era, and that the Government will help the local community in this regard.

Mayor of Zvornik Bojan Ivanović said that the meeting was successful and that numerous topics that are important for this city were discussed.

"We have the support of the Government of Republic of Srpska. BAM 13 million are improved for implementation of capital projects, which will contribute to better quality of life and work. The construction of the courthouse, prosecutor's office and attorney's office is very important project for our city, where we are primarily returning institutions to the city. We are investing in the reconstruction of school buildings and a sports hall. The first phase of the construction of a recreational and sports complex will also be implemented, which includes the construction of a swimming pool and sports fields. We will also invest in transport infrastructure, as well as the construction of a water supply and sewage network from these funds," said Ivanovic.

Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minic and Minister of Transport and Communications Zoran Stevanovic, at the beginning of today's official visit to Zvornik, laid a wreath at the central memorial to the fallen soldiers of the Patriotic War.
