Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Savo Minic, the
Minister of Treasury and Finance of BiH Srdjan Amidzic and the Minister of
Finance of Republic of Srpska Zora Vidovic met today in Banja Luka with Liang
Wang, the new World Bank Group Country Manager for BiH and Montenegro.
During the meeting Prime Minister Minić praised successful
cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and the World Bank and said that during this year alone, agreements on financing of four new projects, worth 500 million
dollars, became effective. In addition to this in Republic of Srpska, 13 other
joint projects, worth 230 million euros, are already in the implementation
phase.
Prime Minister Minić expressed expectation that the World
Bank would in the near future become involved in financing of new projects,
nominated by the Republic of Srpska, primarily those related to the improvement
of road infrastructure, renewable energy sources and water infrastructure.
The new Country Manager of the World Bank Group for BiH and Montenegro
Liang Wang stated the readiness of the World Bank to support new projects that
would stimulate economic growth, employment and energy transition.
