Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Savo Minić spoke
today in Nevesinje with the Mayor of this municipality, Milenko Avdalović, and municipal
leadership about cooperation between the Government and this local community.
Prime Minister Minić said that they discussed various
matters relevant for the municipality such as the damage caused during the hail
in July and noted that the Government of the Republic of Srpska promptly
reacted then with BAM 300,000 and announced that additional assessment committee
would be sent next week.
"As for the damage on potatoe crops, additional commitee of the
Ministry of Agriculture will be sent to Nevesinje next week to establish the damage", Prime Minister Minić said and underlined that the Government will help
agricultural producers and will also talk to the residents of Berkovići
today.
During the meeting with Mayor Avdalović, the opening
of a factory for automotive parts in Nevesinje was discussed, which would employ at least 100 people and whose opening will be supported by the
Government of the Republic of Srpska based on the new regulation on incentives.
"The owner of the factory was unable to come to
the meeting today. He will land at the airport in Zagreb during the day and I have instructed my staff to arrange a meeting at the
Ministry of Economy and for people from Nevesinje to come and lead the
project", Prime Minister said adding that this was an organized production that is
already operating in four places.
Prime Minister Minić emphasized that in Nevesinje public investments are made and implemented by the
Government of the Republika Srpska at the request of the local community and that serious work and construction are being carried out.
Speaking about the Nevesinje Games, Prime
Minister Minić said that this was an event with long history which represents strong
tradition of the area, and that by coming here with the Government
ministers, he wanted to contribute to ensuring that
this event was at the level it deserved.
The Mayor of Nevesinje Milenko Avdalović said that the Government of Republic of Srpska
invested two million BAM this year in this local community, out of
which around BAM 1,700,000 was invested in reconstruction and renovation of
the Gymnasium building, while the remaining 300,000 will be used for the
reconstruction and renovation of roads.
"This year, the municipality is working on a
major project to build a pressure pipeline from the Lake Alagovac to the `Rovi`
reservoir, which is an investment of BAM 1,700,000. From the Office of the
President of the Republic, we will have 441,000 for the expansion of kindergartens and 350,000 through the World Bank for construction of the water supply system in the
villages of Trtine and Čanj", the Mayor said. He added that the
municipality will invest around BAM 2,300,000 of its own resources and loans
in water supply and reconstruction and expansion of village roads and
infrastructure in Novo naselje, on the stretch from the `Stadium` restaurant to
the Gvozd settlement.
