Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Savo Minić today laid a wreath at the Military Memorial Cemetery "Novi Zejtinlik" in Sokolac and paid tribute to the fallen soldiers of the Army of the Republic of Srpska.

"I came here today to pay my respect to all the fallen soldiers and comrades from the Third Sarajevo Brigade of the Army of the Republic of Srpska. This has nothing to do with politics, but with what happened to us from 1992 to 1995", Prime Minister Minić said and emphasized that he considered the Third Sarajevo Brigade to be one of the best brigades, which went through extremely difficult war period, as well as painful events after the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement.

"After the end of the war, we had to transfer the remains of our fellowmates and family members here. That is why I came today to pay my respect but also to see the implementation of the projects we agreed on at our Zejtinlik", Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Savo Minić said and added that this involved certain works that contribute to a dignified appearance of this place.

During the day Prime Minister Minić laid wreath in Istocna Ilidža at the monument to Dr. Miodrag Lazić, a war surgeon and humanist who saved thousands of lives with his knowledge, courage and sacrifice and later on attended the commemoration for the fallen soldiers of the Army of Republika Srpska in front of the Memorial Church of the Holy Great Martyr Dimitrije in Veljine.

Prime Minister Minić said that Serbian people must walk towards unity with their heads held high, just as every Serbian soldier did when he died in the Patriotic War and all Serbian people must strive more strongly and resolutely for the unity of Serbs on both sides of the Drina.

"That is why the future government should only work for the Republic of Srpska and united Serbian people, not for any party, man, or individual",  Prime Minister Minić said in his address in front of the Memorial Church of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius.

Prime Minister Minic said that he was aware of the sacrifice that Serbian soldiers from the eastern part of the Republic of Srpska made for the Republic of Srpska.

"Today I came as Savo Minić, I came to pay homage to our great heroes and to listen to your story", Prime Minister Minić said.

The Prime Minister went to Novi Zejtinlik cemetery in Sokolac today and said: "458 of our best sons lie there. We must never forget them".
