“We must cultivate and cherish with particular care the remembrance about the most significant figure in the Serbian history - Saint Sava”, stated Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Savo Minić addressing a scientific and expert conference "St. Sava and the Nomokanon - Culture, Statehood, Geopolitics and Civilization" which took place in Banja Luka on 2 February 2026.

In his address, Prime Minister Minić emphasized that this year on the occasion of marking 850 years since the birth of Rastko Nemanjić - Saint Sava, the organization of this conference was a good opportunity to consider the significance of the book "Zakonopravilo" written by Saint Sava, the first collection of secular and church legislation, on a scientific basis.

He emphasized that the legacy of St. Sava, which we inherited, must also be an incentive and reminder for all those who are currently working on formation of social awareness and organization of the society.

"We must be aware of who we are, where we come from and what our goal is, and, knowing all this, we should be working daily on developing social awareness”, Prime Minister Minić emphasized.
