Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Zeljka Cvijanovic visited today (13 January 2018) the Banski Dvor Cultural Center in Banja Luka on whih occasion the Prime Minister stated that the project of reconstruction of this institution would cost 10 million BAM and that the Government would allocate 2.5 million for the first phase of its reconstruction.
"This is a huge project that would be realized in several phases. Reconstruction of the roof would be the first, it would be followed by the façade and gradually by the works on the interior decoration", the Prime Minister said after the meeting with the Mayor of Banja Luka, Igor Raodojicic and Director of Banski Dvor Cultural Center, Mladen Matovic.
Prime Minister Cvijanovic emphasized that Banski Dvor shall be a major resource of Banja Luka and Republic of Srpska once it is reconstructed.
The Mayor of Banja Luka Igor Radojicic stated that it was excellent news for Banja Luka that Banski Dvor would be reconstructed and that after reconstruction it would assume its multifunctional purpose.
"We are waiting for a long time for this facility to be reconstructed since certain parts of the Center are not operational and now thanks to the funds that the Government would provide, the works on rehabilitation of the roof, the facade and later the interior would start", Mr. Radojicic said.
Director of the Banski dvor Cultural Center Mladen Matovic expressed satisfaction over the fact that the Government of Republic of Srpska and the City of Banja Luka were determined to provide funds for full rehabilitation of Banski Dvor Cultural Center so it could start functioning in its full capacity.
"Banski Dvor would be reconstructed in its authentic form as it is a part of the national cultural heritage", Mr. Matovic said.
