The Government of the Republika Srpska adopted today during its 131st session helad in Banja Luka, the Information on Foreign Trade Exchange of
Republic of Srpska in the period January - June 2025.
The total foreign trade exchange in Republic Srpska in
the first six months of 2025 amounted to BAM 6,291,210,000 out of which imports
were 3,677,874,000 and exports 2,613,336,000. The biggest foreign trade
partners of Republic of Srpska in the first six months of 2025 were Serbia
(17.38%), Italy (12.27%), Croatia (11.12%), Germany (9.49%), Slovenia (7.67%),
China (5.69%) and Austria (5.46%).
These seven countries account for 69.10% of the total
foreign trade exchange of Republic of Srpska.
In the period January through June 2025, compared to
the same period in 2024, the Republic of Srpska achieved an increase in foreign
trade exchange by 4.81%, an increase in imports by 3.49%; an increase in exports by
6.74%; an increase in import coverage by exports by 2.16%, which amounts to
71.06% reducing the total deficit by 41,040,000 which amounts to BAM 1,064,538,000.
The Ministry of Trade and Tourism has continuously carried out activities related to promotion of consumption of domestic products which positively
affected the foreign trade parameters.
In this regard, the Ministry is implementing the campaign
to promote domestic brands and to raise consumers’ awareness to purchase
domestic products and encourage domestic production, thereby reducing the
foreign trade deficit and strengthening the economy of the Republic of Srpska.
For several years now, the Ministry of Trade and
Tourism had conducted many activities within the campaign of raising the awareness
and promoting domestic brands and products that would be competitive with
foreign ones. The Ministry is cooperating with large shopping centers in the
Republic of Srpska to ensure better positioning of domestic products on their
shelves and additional labeling so that
they are as recognizable and visible as much as possible.
All indicators of foreign trade exchange in the first
six months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024 have improved.
The Government of the Republic of Srpska decided to co-finance
accommodation costs and meals for students in facilities for secondary school students for the school year 2025/2026. Co-financing from the budget of the
Republic of Srpska will be increased from BAM 95 to 140 per month per student. The reason for the increase in the amount of co-financing of the Government's is to ensure better standard of living for students
in terms of food and accommodation.
The Government of the Republic of Srpska, in
cooperation with the institution of the President of the Republic of Srpska,
provided 500,000 for preparation of the project for rehabilitation of the
National Theater building.
This is in line with the Government's policy and support to cultural
institutions with the aim of creating better conditions for their work and
functioning.
The building of the National Theater of the Republic
of Srpska is protected as a national monument and these investments are of
particular importance because they will improve the conditions for the
preservation of scenography, costumes and technical equipment. The renovation
will create the prerequisites for the National Theatre to continue to carry out
its artistic and cultural mission at the highest level, in accordance with the
needs of contemporary theatre. The works will be carried out under the
supervision of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural, Historical and
Natural Heritage of Republic of Srpska.
The Government of the Republic of Srpska today
accepted the Request of the Official Gazette of the Republic of Srpska for
financial assistance in implementation of the project of digitization of all
editions of the Daily "Glas Srpske" from 1943 to the present, their
archive and public publication via digital platform in accordance with national
and international standards and accepts it.
The Government of the Republic of Srpska appreciating
the importance of the Project, has agreed to support it with financial
resources in the total amount of BAM 1,553,863.44. The General Secretariat of
the Government and the Ministry of Finance are hereby obligated to provide the
aforementioned financial resources in the Budget of the Republic of Srpska for
the purpose of implementing the Project and to transfer them to the Public
Institution “Official Gazette” of the Republic of Srpska.
The digitization of editions of the daily newspaper
"Glas Srpske" is a comprehensive cultural, educational and scientific
project aimed at the long-term protection, preservation and promotion of the
identity and historical memory of the Republic of Srpska and the Serbian people
as a whole.
The main goals can be systematized as follows:
protection of cultural heritage, scientific and educational accessibility,
public transparency and accessibility to citizens, compliance with
international standards - The project is aligned with UNESCO guidelines on the
preservation of documentary heritage and with the recommendations of
international organizations dealing with the digitization of cultural heritage.
The Government of the Republic of Srpska adopted the
Information on the need for deforestation and permanent change of use of forest
land for the purposes of gasification of the eastern part of the Republic of
Srpska.
The Government of the Republic of Srpska issued its
consent to the Public Forestry Company "Forests of the Republic of
Srpska" a.d. Sokolac, in the form of a donation to the company
"Sarajevo - gas" a.d. Istočno Sarajevo, to prepare a technical report
"Proposal for justification of deforestation and change of
use of forest land for the purpose of building the main gas pipeline Šekovići -
Vlasenica - Milići and the Vlasenica - Igrišta - Han Pijesak branch".
The Government of the Republic of Srpska adopted the
Information on the need to provide financial resources for rehabilitation
of the embankment on the right bank of the Bosna River at the location of
Daulije, Municipality of Šamac and tasked the Ministry of Finance and the
Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Srpska
to provide the necessary funds in the amount of BAM 1,000,000.00 including VAT
for rehabilitation of the embankment, for which the Public Enterprise
"Vode Srpske" is responsible.
The embankment at the location of Daulije K.O. Crkvina
was built on the right bank of the Bosna River in order to stop the intensive
process of erosion, i.e. deepening of the riverbed and collapse of the banks,
given that the riverbed of the Bosna River at the location in question is very
unstable, both in direction and in height.
The Government of the Republic of Srpska adopted a
Decision on determining common interest in real estate owned by the Republic
of Srpska and the transfer of ownership rights to the Serbian Orthodox Church
Municipality of Han Pijesak for the purpose of building a memorial church in
Kraljevo Polje, Municipality of Han Pijesak.
The Government of the Republic of Srpska adopted a
Decision on granting consent to the Expenditure Plan of the Ministry of
Administration and Local Self-Government for the period January 1, 2025 to September
2025, in the amount of BAM 110,000.00.
The aforementioned funds are allocated to the
Municipality of Kozarska Dubica to provide assistance in solving the housing
problem of Spahalić family in Kozarska Dubica. The Ministry of
Administration and Local Self-Government and the Ministry of Finance are
responsible for implementation of this Decision.
The Government of the Republic of Srpska adopted a
Decision on the approval of funds in the amount of 500,000.00 KM to the
Agricultural Cooperative "Agroplan" Rogatica for the purpose of
exercising the right to incentive funds for the improvement of agriculture in mountainous
area through construction of processing capacities.
The Agricultural Cooperative "AGROPLAN"
Rogatica started an important economic and agricultural project, construction
and commissioning of a potato processing plant in the village of Borike. The
facility in which the implementation is planned is newly built and has a valid
building permit, on an area of 396 square meters.
The project is designed as a two-phase investment, the
first phase includes: procurement and installation of equipment, equipping a
processing line that enables various potato processing operations, and the
second phase envisages additional procurement of technology for the production
of final frozen products (french fries, baked potatoes). Organized contracted production is planned, with an
annual production of 1200 - 1500 tons of potatoes for industrial processing.
The project has developmental significance and is
aligned with the strategic goals of the Republic of Srpska in the field of
agriculture, rural development and food industry.
