The Department for the work of notaries, barristers, RS Public Attorney's Office, free legal aid and implementation of Anti-Corruption Strategy carries out administrative, supervisory, analytical and personnel activities related to:
the organization, operation and administrative supervision over the work of notaries, the organization and operation of the Public Attorney's Office of the Republic of Srpska, barristers and free legal aid,
provides the RS Public Attorney's Office with explanations as legal representative under the law in all administrative and judicial matters in which it represents the Ministry,
conducts second instance proceedings in cases of exercising the right to compensation for war damage through out of court settlement,
implements Anti- Corruption Strategy,
participates in preparation and drafting of legislation within the jurisdiction of the Department and enactment of relevant bylaws,
provides legal advice upon request within the Department competence,
prepares legal views and legal acts for the Government, the National Assembly and other institutions within the jurisdiction of the Department,
prepares legal views on regulations related to the work of entity bodies within the jurisdiction of the Ministry,
Performs other duties in accordance with the laws.
