The Government of the Republika Srpska has adopted the Regulation on the conditions and procedure for granting small-value aid, so-called "de minimis" aid, which further harmonises domestic legislation with European Union regulations in the field of state aid.
This Regulation increased the maximum amount of aid granted to a single economic entity from the previous EUR 200,000 to EUR 300,000 over a three-year period.
The period taken into account when determining the upper aid limit is determined on a rolling basis, so that with each new allocation of aid to that entity, the total amount of aid granted to it in the three previous calendar years is taken into account.
The most significant differences compared to the Regulation in force relate to the fact that aid is considered to be granted at the moment when the economic entity acquires the right to receive aid, in accordance with the relevant act of the aid provider, regardless of the date of its payment to that economic entity.
The aforementioned regulation applies to aid in all sectors, except for the primary production of fishery, aquaculture and agricultural products, export-related activities such as distribution networks, and the use of domestic products or services instead of imported ones.
