Based on Law on Ministries Ministry of Finance management and other expert works is related to:

•    System of financing of general social needs (public consumption​);

•    Law on Tax Procedure of the Republic of Srpska, duties, levies and other fees and games of chance;

•    System of financing and establishing of development funds, Investment-Development Bank, Guarantee Fund of Republika Srpska;

•    monitoring of accomplishing of policy measures in the field of foreign exchange system and banking system; (Law on Foreign Currency Operations of the Republic of Srpska)

•    System of financial operation; the establishment, operation, management, supervision, restructuring and closing of banks in Republika Srpska, as well as protection of users of banking services (Banking law of the Republic of Srpska​).

•    Development and execution of republic budget and annual budget calculation, compensations, subsidies, remunerations and investments financed from the Republic funds, works of Republic treasury, 

•    Management of money flows, annual monitoring of funds; public debt and its servicing;

•    Supervision​ of the disbursement of the Republic funds and works of social incomes determined by the Law and other activities under its jurisdiction.​​
