The Government of the Republic of Srpska continues to provide strong support for the development of science, research and innovation through a significant increase in funding allocated to grants for research programmes and projects, as well as for the development of new technologies. More than 2 million BAM in additional funding has been secured for these purposes.

This measure reaffirms the Government of the Republic of Srpska's strategic commitment in enhancing research capacities, supporting scientists, researchers and innovators, as well as fostering conditions necessary for faster scientific and technological development of the Republic of Srpska.

Increased investments with enable the realisation of a larger number of scientific research projects, procurement of modern research equipment, development of innovative solutions and a closer cooperation between academia and industry. This will hep create the conditions for enhancing the competitiveness of the domestic economy, opening up new development opportunities and accelerating the technological advancement of the Republic of Srpska.

In doing so, the Republic of Srpska reaffirms its commitment to recognising science and technology as key drivers of economic development and social progress, and to ensuring better working conditions and professional development opportunities for institutions, researchers and young talent.
