The Minister of Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education, Prof. Draga Mastilović PhD, attended today in Banja Luka the presentation of a startup project of the Science and Technology Park – unmanned systems (drones) "RMUS Balkans," whose goal is to establish the production of these modern technologies in the Republic of Srpska.
The event was also attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Savo Minić, who expressed satisfaction with the presentation, emphasizing that the purpose of the drones "Fly" and "Raven", patented in the United States, is specific both in terms of range and flight capability.
He stated that a market will be secured for them.
In addition to Prime Minister Minić, the presentation at the Banja Luka-based company "Kosmos" was attended by the Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska, Željko Budimir, the Director of the Police of the Republic of Srpska, Siniša Kostrešević, the Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship, Radenko Bubić, and the Rector of the University of Banja Luka, Dragoslav Gajanin.
Also present were the Director of the Science and Technology Park of the Republic of Srpska, Nikola Dragović, as well as the Director of the company "Kosmos" from Banja Luka, Dušan Vještica.
One of the main goals of the Science and Technology Park of the Republic of Srpska is to support the creation and development of domestic innovative products and services, with a focus on building a knowledge-based domestic economy whose competitiveness will be globally recognized.
The park's objectives include attracting innovative companies, developing a knowledge-based economy, supporting startups and spin-off companies, facilitating cooperation between scientific organizations and industry, contributing to digital transformation, promoting entrepreneurship and innovation, creating employment opportunities, and attracting qualified experts.
