The Minister of Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska, Prof. Draga Mastilović PhD, held a meeting with the representative of the Russian state corporation for supporting the development, production, and export of high-tech industrial products, Rostec, from Serbia, Aleksandar Vosmirko. During the meeting, discussions focused on improving cooperation in the fields of higher education, science, and technology.

The talks centred on details of signing an agreement that will enable the implementation of engineering education programmes at Russian higher education institutions, with the aim of training students from the Republic of Srpska and facilitating their employment in the engineering and manufacturing technology sectors within the Republic of Srpska.

The planned cooperation includes free education at prestigious universities in the Russian Federation, free accommodation in student dormitories and coverage of living expenses.

Minister Mastilović emphasised the commitment of the institutions of the Republic of Srpska to strengthening partnership relations with the Russian Federation, particularly in the areas of higher education, scientific research, and technological development.

It was announced that representatives of Rostec will visit the Republic of Srpska at the end of March, where they will present this programme and the opportunities it offers to interested university and secondary school students, as well as prospects for further education and professional development.

Aleksandar Vosmirko highlighted that Rostec sees the Republic of Srpska as a reliable partner and a significant potential for the development of joint projects in the field of education and high technologies. He stressed that the aim of the cooperation is to create concrete opportunities for students and young people through high-quality engineering programmes and by linking the academic community with industry.
