The Minister of Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska, Prof. Draga Mastilović PhD, and the Minister of Family, Youth and Sports, Irena Ignjatović, attended the opening of the Fifth Global Youth Summit in Kazan today. This year's theme is "Education in the Era of Global Change: Human Capital for Sustainable Development".

This year's Summit will address current challenges and trends in education and youth policy, with a particular focus on international exchange and the academic mobility of young people, the role of digital media in education, and new forms of international cooperation.

"The participation of representatives of the Republic of Srpska in this important international event is an opportunity to showcase our educational and scientific potential, as well as to establish new contacts and partnerships with institutions and organisations from different parts of the world," Minister Mastilović said.

The Summit has so far brought together more than 800 participants from around 80 countries, including ministers, diplomats, heads of youth organisations, representatives of international organisations, and experts in the fields of education, science, culture and the media.

"The Global Youth Summit is an excellent opportunity to learn about youth work and the activities of young people around the world and to connect them with our youth organisations. Events such as this open up numerous opportunities for cooperation and joint projects that can be extremely beneficial to young people in the Republic of Srpska, while also creating opportunities for them in terms of youth organisation, education and academic advancement," Ignjatović said.

The Summit is organised by the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Kazan Federal University and the Forum of Islamic Cooperation of Youth.
