The Minister of Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska, Prof. Draga Mastilović PhD, held talks today in Trebinje with Mayor Mirko Ćurić on cooperation between the local community and higher education institutions, as well as on opportunities for further development of education and scientific research in the city.

During the meeting, which was attended by Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska Borivoje Golubović, they emphasised the importance of joint projects and continuous institutional support aimed at improving the quality of education and the development of the city.

Minister Mastilović previously visited the Student Centre in Trebinje, where he spoke with Director Davor Milidragović about student accommodation conditions, improving standards, and new investments in infrastructure.

"The Government of the Republic of Srpska will invest 250,000 BAM for the completion of the reconstruction of the second pavilion of the Student Centre in Trebinje," the Minister said, adding that the reconstruction of the Student Dormitory began two years ago and that the first phase, i.e. the first pavilion, has been completed.

During his stay in Trebinje, Minister Mastilović also visited the Academy of Fine Arts, where he spoke with Dean Veselin Brković about improving higher education in the field of fine arts and supporting young artists.

The Faculty of Agriculture – Agromediterranean Production was also among the visited institutions, where he spoke with Dean Vesna Milić about improving teaching and scientific research work, as well as strengthening cooperation with the business sector in agriculture.

Minister Mastilović began his visit to Trebinje with a meeting with the Director of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Obrad Gnjato, and later spoke with Dean Dušan Jokanović of the Faculty of Production and Management.
