The Minister of Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska, Prof. Draga Mastilović, PhD, was today awarded the Grand Silver Medal of the Russian Historical Society on the occasion of the 160th anniversary of the establishment of this distinguished scientific institution.

The award was presented on behalf of the Russian Historical Society by its President, Sergey Yevgenyevich Naryshkin, in recognition of Minister Mastilović's outstanding scholarly contribution to historical science and the development of historiography.

The award was presented to Minister Mastilović during the General Assembly of the Russian Historical Society, which he attended at the invitation of the Society's leadership in his capacity as Head of the Representative Office of the Russian Historical Society in the Republic of Srpska.

The Grand Silver Medal of the Russian Historical Society is one of the highest distinctions conferred by the Society on distinguished individuals for their exceptional contribution to historical scholarship, the preservation of historical heritage, and the development of international scientific cooperation.

The General Assembly brought together representatives of scientific, academic and cultural institutions. During the session, participants reviewed the current work of the Russian Historical Society and discussed the directions of its future development.

Participation in this important gathering confirms the successful cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and the Russian Historical Society and contributes to strengthening international cooperation in the fields of science, history, and the preservation of cultural and historical heritage.
