Minister Željko Budimir PhD attended the concert by the University of Banja Luka titled "A Gift to the Republic" on the occasion of the end of the academic year.
In the beautiful setting of the plateau of the Faculty of Philosophy at the Banja Luka Campus, 80 performers from the Symphony Orchestra of the Academy of Arts, University of Banja Luka, and the Symphony Orchestra of the Serbian National Theatre from Novi Sad performed.
"The concert should become a tradition at the University of East Sarajevo as well, because only in this way can we give meaning to our higher education, which is not just about learning, taking exams, and teaching, but also about science and art. When these are combined, it yields excellent results," said Minister Budimir.
The Minister remarked that there is no better way to end the academic year than with a concert.
"Through the music of the Symphony Orchestra in these challenging times, we will show students what harmony is, as well as how important both artistic and spiritual balance is. Students should see the beauty in these difficult times, and art carries that essence and meaning," Minister Budimir said. He emphasized that this concert should inspire everyone to do their job better.
"The students, when they take exams, should know that they are doing it for a higher purpose, not just for a grade," Budimir added.
