The Minister of Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska Prof. Draga Mastilović PhD stated that the goal this year is the admission of the Agency for Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska (AVORS) to the European Association for Quality Assurance.

"The Agency is an important factor in the education system in the Republic of Srpska. The Ministry provides full support and assistance to the work of the Agency. Networking within the European Association for Quality Assurance is important. I would like to express my gratitude to the management for their great efforts to ensure that the Republic of Srpska becomes part of the European Education Area," Minister Mastilović said following a meeting with the Agency Director Biljana Vojvodić.

Vojvodić said that such membership would be very significant for the Republic of Srpska, as it would position it as an independent and relevant actor in the European higher education area.

"Activities are currently underway for accession to the European Association for Quality Assurance," she said.

She added that a visit by experts is expected in May and assessed that all activities should be completed by the end of the year.

"I believe that everything should be completed by the end of the year, and we will know whether the outcome is as we hope," Vojvodić said.

She noted that the Government of the Republic of Srpska and the relevant Ministry have recognised the importance of this process and have provided strong support for the work of the Agency.
