Објављено:

Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining Mr. Petar Đokić stated in an interview with channel ATV that the economic reform aimed at implementing the Republic of Srpska Economic Policy for 2015, thus providing greater economic growth of the Republic of Srpska.

Minister Đokić emphasized that one part of 11 laws, prepared today by the Committee for the Republic of Srpska Economic System Reform, related to the amendments to the existing laws, particularly in the field of finance, while the other part related to the activities that should be undertaken by the BiH authorities.

"For instance, any reform of the VAT system is under the jurisdiction of the Parliamentary Assembly and BiH Council of Ministers", said Minister Đokić.

Minister also pointed out the crucial role of cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and BiH authorities.

Minister Đokić emphasized that wide range of activities would be initiated this year, and next year as well, due to the impossibility to conduct a comprehensive and complex reform in one year.

Furthermore, Minister noted that the Republic of Srpska Government in the last nine years had passed many new reform laws, accentuating that reforms were "living and dynamic process that lasted in every society."

"At a certain point, it is estimated that measures previously adopted can no longer achieve results and that new ones should be passed. We are aware of the fact that some new measures should be defined, including some new laws, by-laws and policies", Minister Đokić emphasized.

Commenting on strikes in some companies, Minister Đokić said that, apart from these examples, there were also good examples of companies that realized their plans.

He stressed that the Republic of Srpska Government provided support to employees, but it could not interfere with private companies' operations.

"These companies' operations are the responsibility of the management and owner", said Minister Đokić emphasizing that all salaries had to be paid to the employees.

He pointed out that the Republic of Srpska Government dealt with these issues within its competence, but it could be held liable only for those companies that are 100 percent or majority state-owned.

"The companies such as Unis and Trudbenik are privatized, and Government could not influence the business policy of the management or owner who at some time made decisions that were not adequate and, for that reason, still have a problem. However, the Government is at disposal for whatever it can do to assist", said Minister Đokić.
