​​​​​Ministry of Family, Youth and Sports performs administrative and other professional tasks relating to the following:

• analysis of demographic movements;

• monitoring and suggesting measures of pro-birth rate policy;

• promotion of family values and responsible parentship;

• development and support of the projects and programs of the associations that deal with 

   welfare  of children and family;

• suggesting programs and participation in education of professionals that work with children, 

   young people and families for the reason of raising the quality of family life and demographic 

   development of the Republic of Srpska;

• realization of the activities on improvement of measures for encouraging birth of children and 

   planning of family; 

• promotion of inter-generation cooperation;

• promotion and monitoring of the application of Conventions that relate to protection of 

   children;  

• activities related to protection from domestic violence;

• international cooperation in the domain of raising the quality of family life, demographic 

   development and children rights;

• providing professional assistance and other assistance in the work of the Council for Children 

   of the Republic, professional and other assistance in the work of the Council for Demographic 

   Policy of the Republic;

• determination of National Action Plan and Youth Policy of the Republic and taking care of its 

   application;

• creation of the assumptions for solution of youth issues – employment of the young, 

   improvement of their social status, inclusion into society;

• realization of youth projects;

• encouraginng an active participation of the young in society;

• establishment of youth centers;

• cooperation with youth organizations;

• international cooperation in the domain of organization and activity of the youth;

• creation of conditions for development of sports at the level of the Republic and its legal 

   regulations;

• determining the Strategy of Development of Sports in the Republic and monitoring the 

   realization of strategic and program tasks;

• realization of international cooperation, independently or through joint bodies of BiH;

• preparing short-term and long-term plans (Olympic cycle) for development of sports of

   the Republic and programs of development of sports and collection of funds for their realization;

• determining the criteria for their distribution and monitoring the purposeful spending of these 

   funds;

• creation of the conditions for improvement of professional work;

• determation of the condition of the sports facilities and the need for new ones;

• creating the assumptions for usage of sports facilities and fields;

• registration of sports organizations and other organizations in sport;

• collection and processing of statistical data and keeping overall informatics in sports;

• coordination of work of branch sports associations of the Republic, city and municipality and 

   competent bodies;

• supervision over work of sports organizations and other organizations in sport;

• preparation of legal and sublegal deeds from the domain of Ministry and other tasks in  

   accordance with the law.
