​The Department for the Promotion of Cooperation with the Diaspora performs the tasks aimed at establishing and strengthening cooperation with Republic of Srpska citizens abroad, and is in charge of developing relevant strategic, planning and analytical documents for the needs of the Government of the Republic of Srpska. The Department coordinates activities with ministries and other institutions and representative offices of the Republic of Srpska abroad regarding cooperation and position of the diaspora. It also cooperates directly with diaspora clubs, associations and organizations, and initiates projects related to economic, cultural, educational, informative cooperation, as well as in other relevant areas. The Department is also in charge of establishing cooperation with domestic and international institutions dealing with diaspora issues, and participates in the work of commissions and working groups dealing with improving cooperation with the diaspora.
