​The Regional Cooperation Department coordinates the work of ministries in the RS Government in connection with the activities on establishing and developing foreign economic and other cooperation; takes part in the work of committees, working groups, commissions and other bodies at BiH level in connection with proposing, drafting and monitoring the implementation of bilateral and multilateral contracts, conventions, agreements, memoranda, etc.; coordinates activities with the ministries and other bodies of the Republic of Srpska in connection with issuing opinions on contracts, agreements and other acts in the field of foreign economic relations; coordinates and takes active part in creating, adopting and implementing government policies and programs of interregional cooperation development; coordinates and takes active part in developing inter-sectoral regional cooperation programs; coordinates representation of the Republic of Srpska abroad; monitors the work of representative offices of the Republic of Srpska abroad in connection with the implementation of program tasks; performs normative tasks in connection with the regulation of the work of RS representative offices abroad; communicates with the bodies of the Assembly of European Regions and coordinates all activities of representatives from the institutions of the Republic of Srpska involved in the work of the Board and Program of this organization; performs other tasks within the purview of the Ministry.
