Minister Klokic Attended Reception in Belgrade

​Minister of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation of the Government of the Republic of Srpska, Zlatan Klokic, attended on Sunday (28.02.2016) a reception to celebrate the Day of the Republic of Srpska and mark the 24th anniversary of the proclamation of the first Constitution of the Republic of Srpska, held at the Old Palace, Belgrade City Assembly.

The reception started by performance of the national anthems of the Republic of Srpska Moja Republika and of Serbia Boze Pravde, sung by the opera singer Aneta Makanjic. She also sang the famous composition by Prince Mihailo Obrenovic Sto se Bore Misli Moje, followed by the composition Ovo je Srbija written by Nikola Grbic. Serbian actress Biljana Djurovic and octet of the Banja Luka Philharmonic Orchestra took part in the ceremonial part of the program.

After the introductory part, the audience was addressed by the Head of the Representative Office in Serbia Mladjen Cicovic, President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik, and Serbian Patriarch His Holiness Irinej.

The reception was attended also by the President of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic, speakers of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Nedeljko Cubrilovic, and Serbian Assembly, Maja Gojkovic, and ministers of the governments of the Republic of Srpska and Serbia. Also, the ceremony was attended by the Russian ambassador to Belgrade, Alexander Chepurin, Chief of Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, Ljubisa Dikovic, representatives of the diplomatic corps and many renowned persons from the political, economic and cultural life of Serbia and Republic of Srpska.

The guests at the reception received presents – the book Istorija Republike Srpske and the original text of the Dayton Peace Accords.

This was the second reception to mark the Day of the Republic of Srpska organized by the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in Serbia.
