Promoting international cooperation and protecting the political, economic and cultural interests of the Republic of Srpska are the key reasons for establishing the Office for International Cooperation, said the Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation Zlatan Klokić during his appearance on ATV Jutro.
Commenting on the negative reactions that the announced establishment of this office caused in political Sarajevo, Klokić said that the resistance confirmed the correctness of the decisions made.
'Each their protest means that we are doing a good job. The main goal of establishing the Office is to position the Republic of Srpska internationally,' said Klokić.
The Minister recalled that he had been in Italy the previous week discussing cooperation strengthening and European integration process with Senator Giuseppina Versace and MP Luca Squeri. On that occasion, Klokić informed the Italian officials about the current political situation in BiH.
'Italy is an important foreign trade partner, so we need to improve that cooperation further. This whole situation in BiH is a mystery to them. We agreed that they visit Banja Luka, in order to get better acquainted with the political situation, but also to discuss the possibility of expanding cooperation,' concluded Klokić.
