A public call for the selection of candidates for the Saint Sava Prize has been announced

Today, the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska announced a public call for the selection of candidates for awarding the Saint Sava Prize to educators and professional assistants in preschool institutions, as well as teachers, professional assistants and school librarians in primary schools in the working/school year 2023/2024 and to teachers and professional assistants in secondary schools in the 2022/2023 school year, for the achieved exceptional results in the field of upbringing and education, and contribution to better quality upbringing and education in the Republic of Srpska.

The invitation is available on the website of the Ministry (www.vladars.rs).

Candidates for awarding the Saint Sava Prize may be nominated by preschool institutions, at the suggestion of the expert council or expert team and professional associations of educational workers (nominators). Candidates for the Saint Sava Prize in front of primary schools can be nominated by primary schools and professional associations of educational workers (nominators). Candidates for the awarding the Saint Sava Prize for secondary schools may be nominated on behalf of the school by: the school principal, the teaching council and professional staff (nominators).

Along with the application for the public call, an explained proposal for awarding the Saint Sava Prize, the candidate's biography, documentation proving that the candidate meets the conditions and criteria for awarding the Saint Sava Prize is submitted.

The conditions that the candidate must fulfill when applying for the public invitation for the awarding the Saint Sava Prize are that he/she is employed in a preschool/primary/secondary school in the year in which the prize is awarded and that he/she has at least 10 years of work experience as an educator and/or professional associates in preschool institutions, that is, teachers, professional associates and/or school librarians in primary schools, teachers/professional associates in secondary schools in the Republic of Srpska.

The criteria for scoring when determining the list of candidates for the Saint Sava Prize are set forth by laws and by-laws.

Winners of the Saint Sava Prize from previous years cannot apply for the public invitation, taking into account that the Saint Sava Prize is awarded only once.

The deadline for submitting applications for the public call is December 15, 2023, and untimely and incomplete applications will not be considered.

The names of the winners of the Saint Sava Prize will be published on the official website of the Ministry of Education and Culture. The Saint Sava Prize is awarded in the form of a charter and a monetary prize.

Saint Sava Prize in the working/school year 2023/2024 for preschool institutions and primary schools and the 2022/2023 school year for secondary schools in the Republic of Srpska, will be awarded by the Minister of Education and Culture, while the time and place of the event will be published later on the official website of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska.
