The Government of the Republic of Srpska held its
111th session today in Banja Luka chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic
of Srpska Radovan Višković.
The Government of the Republic of Srpska adopted the
Information on implementation of the Basis for Social Welfare Program for workers
in 2020.
Following the proposal of the Commission, the
Government of the Republic of Srpska passed six decisions for settling obligations
for unpaid contributions in the amount of BAM 5,529,698.92. Those funds were used to pay contributions for
pension and disability insurance and unemployment insurance for 2,337 workers
from 132 companies.
The program of social care for workers who lost their
jobs in the process of privatization, bankruptcy or liquidation of companies in
the Republic of Srpska has been implemented since 2004.
In the period from 2004 to 2020, 64,839 workers from
459 companies have been covered by this program. Out of this number, through the Public Invitation,
priority realization of the right to age pension was enabled for 7,683 workers.
The total funds paid for the implementation of the Social Welfare Program for workers in the period 2004 - 2020 amount to BAM 196,062,710.47.
During today's session, the Government of the Republic
of Srpska passed the Decision on approving funds for social care of workers in
the amount of BAM 442,047.03.
These funds were approved for the payment of
contributions for pension and disability insurance for 40 workers from 23
companies who lost their jobs in the process of bankruptcy or liquidation of
their companies.
The Government of the Republic of Srpska passed the Decision on giving consent to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water
Management of Republic of Srpska for allocation of the current grant in the amount
of BAM 400,000 to the public institution Veterinary Institute "Dr Vaso
Butozan" for 2021.
The Government of the Republic of Srpska also passed a
Decision on issuance of consent to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water
Management of the Republic of Srpska for allocation of the current grant of BAM 450,000 for
the Fund for Prevention of Infectious Diseases in 2021.
Funds are allocated for compensation of damage for animals
that had been harmlessly eliminated during implementation of measures to
control particularly dangerous infectious diseases and zoonoses. The funds would
be used to rehabilitate hotspots after the destruction of infected animals as
well as unplanned animal health measures that can cause large-scale
consequences.
Today, the Government also accepted the Report on Implementation
of the Long-Term Program of Basic Geological Research in Republic of Srpska for
the period 2018-2020.
This Report will be sent to the National Assembly of
the Republic of Srpska for consideration.
