The Government of the Republic of Srpska held today its 107th session during which its passed five decisions with regard to establishing the base for
calculating the allowances for users of veteran benefits and those pertaining civilian
victims of war.
The base for calculation of allowances in 2021 foreseen
by the Law on the Rights of Veterans, War Invalids and Families of Fallen
Soldiers of the Defense-Patriotic War of the Republic of Srpska and the Law on Protection of Civilian
Victims of War shall be increased by 3%.
The basis for calculation of military disability allowance
shall be BAM 610,75 and refers to 30,964 users of personal and 18,605 users of
family disability allowance.
The basis for calculation of disability benefits for
civilian victims of war will amount to BAM 458.01 and it refers to 1,133 users of
personal and 1,401 users of family civilian disability benefits.
The Government also passed the Decision on the amount
of the base for calculation of the monthly point of veteran allowance for 2021,
which has remained unchanged and amounts to BAM 1.68, on 31 December 2020.
There are 80,545 veterans from the first to the fifth category who are entitled
to a monthly veteran allowance.
According to the decision of the Government, the basis
for calculating the point for annual veteran allowance for 2020 has remained unchanged
in the amount of 3.90 when compared to 2019 and will be paid in the first
quarter of the current year for 61,268 veterans.
Today, the Government of the Republic of Srpska passed
the Decision on approval of the placement of funds for the improvement of material
position of veterans above 65 years of age through a monthly income. This decision
will apply to 570 users. The goal of this decision is that fighters over 65 who
cannot exercise the right to a pension, in this way can exercise the right to a
monthly allowance.
Recognizing their contribution to the Defense-Patriotic
War and taking into account the age and the fact that they do not earn any
income originating from their veteran status, except for the monthly veteran's
allowance, this decision enables the payment of monthly allowance to veterans
who meet the conditions in 2021 in terms of years of life and retirement age.
The amount of this monthly income is determined in the amount of the lowest
level of the lowest pension (BAM 207.82) and in that amount the payment shall continue
to soldiers who have pursuant to the Government decisions achieved this type of
income in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
The Government
of the Republic of Srpska issued a Decision on determining a public electricity
supplier.
The provisions of the new Law on Electricity which
entered into force on January 1 this year, enable all buyers of electricity to
freely choose their suppliers.
In order to provide a universal service - public
supply, and on the basis of the new Law, the Government of Republic of Srpska
has determined a supplier who will provide this service to customers from the
categories of households and small customers who do not choose a supplier on
the market.
Based on the regulatory report and other criteria, it
has been determined that the conditions for performing the universal service -
public supply are met by the Mixed Holding "Elektroprivreda Republike
Srpske" Parent Company a.d. Trebinje which is designated as a public
supplier of electricity for a period of up to 5 years.
Today, the Government of the Republic of Srpska gave
its consent to the 2021 Work Plan and the Financial Plan of the Public
Institution "Vučjak" Paddock, Prnjavor.
The Work Plan states that the current state of
operations of "Vucjak" paddock was satisfactory, which was
contributed by the regularity of payment of funds in 2020 in the amount of BAM 400,000.
It is also stated that the current number of
Lipizzaner horses is 120, and that the health condition of horses is regularly
checked and that it is at satisfactory level.
During 2020, the "Vučijak” paddock selected a
certain number of horses for dressage training and also for the workers were
trained as planned in 2020, and these activities are planned to continue this
year as well.
In 2021, numerous promotional activities are planned
for the purpose of opening the paddock toward the public and to the visitors to
the extent allowed by the situation with the coronavirus epidemic.
Today, the Government of the Republic of Srpska
adopted the Information on the proposed text of the "Draft Law on
Amendments to the Law on Prevention and Suppression of Drug Abuse". The
Government has agreed to initiate the procedure of amending the Law on
Prevention and Suppression of Drug Abuse ("Official Gazette of BiH",
No. 8/06), only in the part related to the import, trade and use of medical
hemp and its preparations in medical purposes.
